– Ian Hamilton in What Is Experiential Calvinism?
Reminds me of the time that I ran into this woman at the dollar store. She was having trouble reading a Christianese something or other. I told her: “Perhaps it means that we’re all meant to reflect different facets of God, some are meant to reflect patience more than others, some are meant to reflect bravery more than others, some are meant to reflect persistence more than others – God is so multi-faceted that it takes the entire spectrum of humanity to reflect something of him into the lives of others. But in order to do that, we have to embrace how we’re all different. If we all reflected bravery, then we would miss out on patience or persistence.”
